Dr Makenzih M.Bright
Dr. Makenzih Musebo Bright is a distinguished Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, Public Health and Fertility Specialist, and Researcher with a strong commitment to advancing healthcare and medical education. He currently serves as the CEO of Woodlands University College and as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital.
Dr. Bright holds an extensive academic portfolio, including an MMed in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UNZA), Master of Public Health (MPH), MSc in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine (University of South Wales, UK), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine, among other qualifications. He is also a PhD candidate and a Fellow of the Zambia College of Medicine and Surgery (FZCMS). His additional certifications span Policy Advocacy, Epidemiology, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Project Management in Global Health from Washington University, USA.
A seasoned leader from an early age, Dr. Bright served as Headboy and JETS Club President in high school, and later held key student leadership roles at the University of Zambia, including UNZASU President and Secretary General. Professionally, he has served as Interim Chairperson of the Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ) at Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital.
On the international and national stage, he currently serves as the Country Representative for the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) and Vice President of the Zambia Medical Association. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at Levy Mwanawasa Medical University (LMMU), Lusaka Apex Medical University (LAMU), and the University of Lusaka (UNILUS), where he contributes to training the next generation of healthcare professionals.
