Dr Scott Mattafwali

 Dr Scott Kaba Matafwali is a pharmacist and applied researcher with expertise in pharmacology, medicine quality, and health research ethics. He holds a PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, an MSc in Pharmacology and Biotechnology from Sheffield Hallam University, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Zambia. He is a recipient of the Commonwealth PhD Scholarship and the Chevening Scholarship. Dr Matafwali previously served on the National Health Research Ethics Board from 2020 to 2026 and was reappointed in January 2026. He has also lectured in Pharmacology at the Copperbelt University School of Medicine.
