Theme: “Achieving Universal Health Coverage through Research Innovations, Technology, and Knowledge Management”

7-9th October, 2020|Mulungushi Conference Centre | Contact us here

As we enter into a new decade, this year's Zambia Health Research Conference will serve as a showcase platform of various health research innovations, health technology advancements, and improved knowledge management systems. The overarching goal is to achieve universal health coverage with key and proven health interventions to improve health outcomes. The conference will serve as a platform to disseminate available local (Zambia), regional (Africa) and global evidence in cutting edge research innovations and health technologies; and how best to harness and utilize these products of science to better improve health for all and achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Join over 1,000 researchers, faculty, students, health implementers, government representatives and leaders in health to share, discuss and explore how we can address the pressing health challenges we face through research, education, service and advocacy.

This year’s theme is inspired by Zambia’s mission of bringing health services as close to its people’s households as possible through universal healthcare coverage and government’s bold step to achieve this by instituting the National Health Insurance Authority, providing a national health insurance scheme that aims to increase equity of access to health care by all in Zambia. The theme is also inspired by Zambia’s resolve to invest in health research, science and technology as catalysts for national development.
